Two Arrested in Kano for Robbing, Attempting to Kill Lil Kesh

Two suspects have been arrested in Kano in connection with the violent robbery and attempted murder of Nigerian singer Lil Kesh. The incident occurred on August 19, 2025, at the artist’s Lagos residence in Bera Estate, Chevron. Armed assailants reportedly attacked him, inflicting a deep cut on his neck and forcing him to transfer ₦2.1 million from his mobile phone to one of their accounts.

Following weeks of investigation, the Kano State Police Command apprehended the suspects on September 11, 2025, in Na’ibawa and Unguwa Uku Quarters. They were identified as Mathew Adewole (25), who allegedly stabbed Lil Kesh, and Mukhtar Muhammad (31), who allegedly received the stolen funds. The arrests were made possible through intelligence gathering and community support.

The suspects have since been transferred to the Lagos State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.

The news of the attack initially sparked concern among fans, but Lil Kesh later reassured the public that he is safe and recovering. The case highlights the persistent security challenges faced by celebrities and the importance of coordinated policing across states.
