Guinness World Records has responded after Nigerian record-breaking chef Hilda Baci cried out about the delay in verifying her cook-a-thon.
Recall that the Akwa Ibom born chef recently embarked on a cooking marathon in an attempt to break the world record for the longest cooking time by an individual. She achieved this feat by cooking nonstop for four days, surpassing the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set by Indian chef Lata Tondon.
The 26-year-old restaurateur set a new record of 100 hours, but her achievement is yet to be verified by Guinness World Records. According to them, they need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record.
Hilda Baci took to her Twitter handle on Thursday, June 1, to revealed that she had submitted all the evidence and has been refreshing her email constantly for the latest response from Guinness World Records.
“Not me refreshing my email every second since we submitted all the evidence to Guinness World Records,” she tweeted.
In response to Hilda Baci’s post on Twitter, GWR responded with a tweet.
“Our records team is working on it,” the official Twitter handle of Guinness World Records replied Baci’s tweet.
