Warri Again: Pinnick, Davido to Settle Out of Court Over Failed Contract

An out-of-court settlement between Brownhill Investment Company, controlled by Amaju Pinnick, and Mr. David Adeleke, also known as Davido, was approved by an Effurun-based Delta High Court.
On Thursday, Effurun’s High Court Three Judge Michael Obi thanked all parties for their cooperative decision to resolve out-of-court.
“I applaud both parties for attempting to settle outside of court,” stated Obi.
Mr. Amaju Pinnick, a former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, is the owner of Brownhill Investment Company.
The business had filed a lawsuit with the court in October 2023 under the case number EHC/183/2023. Davido, the afrobeat musician, and Davido Music Worldwide Limited, his record label, are named as joint defendants.
Due to a failure to fulfill a contract, the defendants were sued by the firm over a breach of contract to perform at the 19th edition of the ‘Warri Again Concert’.

Controversial Big Brother Naija Star Tacha, also known as Natacha Anita Akide, is a Naija reality personality who has claimed to have received death threats from Davido’s followers.
She claimed that after criticizing the Afrobeats artist for liking a defamatory post about her, she started receiving death threats.
In a recent interview, Tacha revealed this to media personality Chude Jideonwo.

She said, “I received death threats from Davido’s fans. I’ve heard people said, ‘Na our 001 you wan use play? We go show you.”

remembers Tacha as a devoted follower of Davido in the past.
She did, however, reveal in a previous year’s interview that she had removed the DMW boss’ tattoo from her body.

Tolani Shobajo, also known as Tolanibaj, is a Big Brother Naija reality star who revealed she had considered having Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery but decided against it.
The reality TV personality explained why she chose against having the operation done: she was concerned about complications that may have killed her.
She revealed this in a recent Bahd and Boujee Podcast episode, which she and actress Moet Abebe co-hosted.

She said, “There was a time I wanted to do BBL but I was scared of dying. I said, ‘If my enemy should die right now is it going to be because I went under the knife? Does that makes sense?’ I really tried to convince myself. I was like, ‘Okay, I would do bumbum but is it truly because of me or because I want to track more men?”

Her co-host, Abebe inferred: “To be honest, I’m tired of seeing SpongeBobs, a lot of girls that look like ants with big bumbums and skinny legs.”

Tolanibaj added: “Is it by force to do BBL? If you are going to do BBL, go to a good doctor and spend that money. Don’t be cheap about it.”

Folarin Falana, also known as Falz, is a well-known rapper from Nigeria who has stated that he was once approached to donate sperm.

He claims that the individual, who he knows well, asked him whether he would be willing to contribute his sperm.
Falz claimed he declined since he couldn’t pretend he wasn’t the father when the child was born because he knew the individual.
This was revealed by the “Soft Work” singer when she was a guest on the most recent “I Said What I Said” podcast.

Falz said: “Someone has asked me to be a sperm donor before. She said, ‘Just donate sperm, you don’t need to worry about parenting.’ I said, ‘You are joking.’

“I refused. It is a bit of a joke, like I know who you are, and I would just close my mind [pretend]?”

Yoruba Nollywood actress Kiitan Bukola, also known as Oloruntimilehin Bukola, has stated that her sexual attractiveness was not the foundation of her success in the film industry.

She stated in an interview with PUNCH that she had a successful business outside of film production and had always been successful before joining Nollywood.

She said, “Away from the screen, I look good; so surely, I will have admirers. It is either I accept their proposals or not. I am very hard-working, and I had been succeeding before I came into Nollywood. I have a business outside the industry. My success is not built around my sex appeal.”

In contrast to those women who have stated that adultery is not a deal-breaker for them in relationships, the actress also stated that she cannot maintain a relationship with a partner who cheats..

She said, “I will surely walk away silently (from the relationship), and life goes on.”

Asked if she is under any pressure to maintain a particular image on social media regarding fashion, she said, “I wear whatever I am comfortable in. I am not in competition with anyone, and I am not under pressure. Whenever I have money to buy designer outfits, I will go for them. And if I don’t, I will wear whatever I can afford.”

Tee Billz Slams And Threatens Davido For Disrespecting His Family.

Singer Davido has been publicly criticized by Nigerian talent manager Tee Billz, also known as Tunji Balogun, for showing contempt towards his family.

He wrote on his Instagram page about how, despite showing Davido’s daughter, Imade, affection, he, Tiwa Savage, and their son, Jamil, were insulted by the musician.

Even though Tee Billz is in a relationship, he declared that a man’s ability to protect his family is a sign of his love and commitment and not just a duty.

Taking aim at the musician, he said that his family would be the last people in Nigeria that Davido would ever disrespect, adding that the musician has been getting away with his crimes and that he isn’t Dele Momodu or Amaju.

He went on to say that he is holding off on disclosing the singer’s tea until after the Grammy Awards.

“Protecting one’s family is not just a duty; it’s the essence of a man’s character, a testament to his love and commitment……… After the love Jamil, “The Mother of my Son” and I have shown towards your Daughter…… My Family is the last one you will ever disrespect in Nigeria… it’s not a threat like I told Bobo! Celebrities, Fans Mark Mohbad’s 28th Posthumous Birthday

On social media, Nigerian celebrities and fans honored the late singer Mohbad, also known as Ilerioluwa Aloba, on the day that would have been his 28th birthday.

Mohbad, who was formerly connected to Marlian Records, died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27. He had quit the label to launch ‘Imolenization,’ his own venture.

The Lagos State Police Command opened an investigation after discussions over Mohbad’s dying circumstances.His body was exhumed for an autopsy

September 21, 2023. A nurse involved in his treatment before his passing was also arrested.

The autopsy was finished, according to Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, but the results are still awaited.

As of yet, the public has not been given access to the official autopsy results.

Taking to her X handle, Big Brother Naija’s former housemate, Tasha, posted a picture of Mohbad with the caption “Happy Birthday Mohbad 🤍🕊”

A friend of Mohbad and musician, Bella Shmurda also posted Mohbad’s picture on his Instagram handle (Bella_Shmurda), saying, “Happy posthumous birthday my brother my friend Oba Imole💡. Rest in power💐❤. Love u forever and I miss u💔”

Musician, Bad Boy Timz promised to always love and celebrate the late Mohbad. He posted a video of him and Mohbad with the caption “Happy Posthumous Birthday my Friend Mohbad Oba Imole! If I knew this was the last time I’d see you, I would’ve stayed a little longer! I’ll love & celebrate you forever my soldier 🕊🕯❤”

On his Instagram handle (@Obaksolo) posted, “Happy posthumous birthday oba Imole💡. Rest in power💐❤. Love u forever nd I miss u💔 #mohbad”

Also, a fellow music colleague, Seyi Vibez posted “Happy birthday MOH” on his Instagram story.

Popular Music & Entertainment Executive, Dami Adenuga (@DamiAdenuga), expressed his love for the late act, saying, “Today is Mohbad’s posthumous birthday, may he rest in peace. We miss him dearly.”

A user Odinaka (@TheAjibolaGrey) tweeted, “Happy birthday Mohbad, your light will continue to shine forever. You will forever be a light and a superstar. ❤❤”

Asiwaju Lerry tweeted “Happy Posthumous Birthday, Mohbad. You shall never be forgotten. 💡❤”

Famous Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, also known as R.M.D., celebrated his 23rd wedding anniversary with his wife by posting a message on Instagram.

A sweet photo of R.M.D. and his wife laughing together was posted on social media. Timi Dakolo’s love song “Iyawo Mi,” which was playing in the background of the photo, exuded happiness as the couple celebrated their union.

In the heartfelt caption, R.M.D. called his wife a “Abiks,” expressing his amazement at attaining the significant and amazing milestone of 23 years together. The actor, who is well-known for his commanding on-screen persona, revealed a more personal side as he considered their lifelong romantic journey.

R.M.D. has celebrated his long marriage on social media before. This is not the first time. He showed his wife his love and devotion on their 22nd anniversary last year and expressed gratitude for their journey together.

Court Denies Nurse, Mohbad’s Friend Bail

A 37-year-old auxiliary nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe arrested by the police in connection with the death of popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has been sent to custody by the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba.

There are claims that the nurse gave the late singer some injections that resulted in his death.

The magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, also ordered that Mohbad’s friend, Ayobani Sadiq, also being held as a suspect in the case, should be returned to police custody.

The magistrate, however, granted bail in the sum of N20m to each of Mohbad’s ex-boss, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and a Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry, who was also implicated in Mohbad’s death and taken into custody by the police on October 6.

The magistrate said, “The defendants (Naira Marley and Sam Larry) are hereby granted bail in the sum of N20m with three responsible sureties in like sum pending the legal advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution.

“Also, one of the sureties must own a landed property. As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.”

Olatunbosun also warned that no one should contact her directly on the case.

“Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings,” she added.

According to the police, the investigation on the case is still ongoing, hence Olatunbosun adjourned the case till November 29 for DPP advice.

Mohbad Was Killed Because of Betrayal – Portable

Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola better known as Portable, has claimed that enemies of Marlian record label boss, Naira Marley killed late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

Following Mohbad’s passing on September 12, 2023, netizens have accused his former label head, Naira Marley, of making threats against the singer’s life, engaging in cyberstalking, and other offenses while he was alive.

Portable, in a video making the rounds, stated that the late singer was a ‘traitor’, and betrayed his former label boss, Naira Marley, by ‘chilling’ with his enemies.

His words: “Mohbad was killed because he was a betrayer. We help these young artists and make them blow, but they repay us with evil. After everything Marlian music did for Mohbad, he later said they didn’t love him. He left the label and went to associate with the enemies of Naira Marley.

“Those ones then killed him to implicate Naira. God will save Naira from this mess because he only helped Mohbad out of a good heart, but he betrayed him.”
