An out-of-court settlement between Brownhill Investment Company, controlled by Amaju Pinnick, and Mr. David Adeleke, also known as Davido, was approved by an Effurun-based Delta High Court.
On Thursday, Effurun’s High Court Three Judge Michael Obi thanked all parties for their cooperative decision to resolve out-of-court.
“I applaud both parties for attempting to settle outside of court,” stated Obi.
Mr. Amaju Pinnick, a former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, is the owner of Brownhill Investment Company.
The business had filed a lawsuit with the court in October 2023 under the case number EHC/183/2023. Davido, the afrobeat musician, and Davido Music Worldwide Limited, his record label, are named as joint defendants.
Due to a failure to fulfill a contract, the defendants were sued by the firm over a breach of contract to perform at the 19th edition of the ‘Warri Again Concert’.

Singer Davido has been publicly criticized by Nigerian talent manager Tee Billz, also known as Tunji Balogun, for showing contempt towards his family.
He wrote on his Instagram page about how, despite showing Davido’s daughter, Imade, affection, he, Tiwa Savage, and their son, Jamil, were insulted by the musician.
Even though Tee Billz is in a relationship, he declared that a man’s ability to protect his family is a sign of his love and commitment and not just a duty.

Mohbad, who was formerly connected to Marlian Records, died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27. He had quit the label to launch ‘Imolenization,’ his own venture.

A 37-year-old auxiliary nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe arrested by the police in connection with the death of popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has been sent to custody by the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba.
There are claims that the nurse gave the late singer some injections that resulted in his death.
The magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, also ordered that Mohbad’s friend, Ayobani Sadiq, also being held as a suspect in the case, should be returned to police custody.
The magistrate, however, granted bail in the sum of N20m to each of Mohbad’s ex-boss, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and a Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry, who was also implicated in Mohbad’s death and taken into custody by the police on October 6.
The magistrate said, “The defendants (Naira Marley and Sam Larry) are hereby granted bail in the sum of N20m with three responsible sureties in like sum pending the legal advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution.
“Also, one of the sureties must own a landed property. As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.”
Olatunbosun also warned that no one should contact her directly on the case.
“Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings,” she added.
According to the police, the investigation on the case is still ongoing, hence Olatunbosun adjourned the case till November 29 for DPP advice.
Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola better known as Portable, has claimed that enemies of Marlian record label boss, Naira Marley killed late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
Following Mohbad’s passing on September 12, 2023, netizens have accused his former label head, Naira Marley, of making threats against the singer’s life, engaging in cyberstalking, and other offenses while he was alive.
Portable, in a video making the rounds, stated that the late singer was a ‘traitor’, and betrayed his former label boss, Naira Marley, by ‘chilling’ with his enemies.
His words: “Mohbad was killed because he was a betrayer. We help these young artists and make them blow, but they repay us with evil. After everything Marlian music did for Mohbad, he later said they didn’t love him. He left the label and went to associate with the enemies of Naira Marley.
“Those ones then killed him to implicate Naira. God will save Naira from this mess because he only helped Mohbad out of a good heart, but he betrayed him.”
